Niece Overload

We went up to Madison to celebrate my niece turning the big 3.  Her birthday fell on Easter day this year.  So it was a two for one deal with the family.  Her birthday was The Little Mermaid themed and my sister in law did an excellant job decorating and surprising little Ari.  I might be a little modest, but she is quite possibly the cutest 3 year old in the world.  The whole weekend was relaxing and fun.  And my niece and nephew literally melted my heart with their 'oooohs' and 'ahhhhs' when Easter egg hunting.  Love my family.  ♥

(sorry for the camera phone pics, I left my camera at home)

Mooning the Honeys - Part Deuce.

We rented a convertible in Key West and drove three and half hours to Miami to hop on a cruise for part two of our honeymoon.  It was the best road trip ever.   The whole way we drove with the top down and talked and napped (well I did).  It was beautiful.  I took zero pictures and enjoyed every moment.
The Cruise -- Let's start with how I figured out rather quickly that I am not a cruise person.   Luckily 'Miami Vices' and Margaritas were there to cheer me up.  Our cruise stopped at the Bahamas, St. Martin, San Juan, and Grand Turk.  We went on a sunset cruise, we kayaked, and we did a bit of exploring.   We met some cool people.  And again we ate and drank and ate a lot more, because it was a cruise and there's 24/7 soft serve machines. Duh!  All in all it was a great experience.  (side note, the trip ended with a $80 cab ride to the airport, a first husband/wife fight and an inside $80 joke.  Plan ahead people).

Honeys and Moons. Part Uno.

After pulling an all nighter the day after our wedding and taking a 6am flight to begin our honeymoon. Which is the only reason to ever take a 6am flight.  EVER!  We went to Key West for part one of our honeymoon and it was just amazing.  We drank and ate and drank or and ate.  We sat on the beach.  We ate.  We drank.  We kayaked.  Did I mention we were in paradise.  Because it totally was. There's not much more than to tell you we were total beach bums. We even have inside jokes from drunkish nights there.  We totally honeyed that moon.

Remember that time we got Married.

We have been married for a little over 5 months now.    I have to say our wedding day was the best day of our lives.  A year and half of wedding planning had us cursing why we didn't decide to just elope.  But that day, that perfect day made it all worth while.  That was filled with so many emotions, I've never felt so nervous in my entire life. My kite had to hold my hands tight just to keep me from shaking at the alter.  I was in awe of how all those tiny details came together. It was so surreal to look around and realize that this was our wedding day.  We tried our best to soak it all in.  But people weren't joking when they say it goes by so fast. We had so much fun that our jaws were sore at the end of the night from laughing. And I couldn't feel my toes for a week after from all that dancing. We have such amazing friends and family.  It was definitely a day we will never forget. ♥
