This weekend we're hanging down south. My kite's family goes to the annual Sweetcorn Festival down here. Today was great other than the day being 99+ degrees and everyone walking around with SWASS(swamp+ass). It's pretty cool seeing everyone line up to get free sweet corn that was steamed in a steam engine right on the farm. We usually get out of line and go back in several times. It's pretty much like yummy in a husk! We then commence eating corn covered in butter till we never want to see another piece again. After seating in the heat till you feel like you can move again it's then time to walk around the festival trying to get
Delicious Carnival food, lemon shake-ups, kettle corn and ride Carnie rides. It's definitely a summer ender. Of course my favorite part is people watching. I even tried to fit in today by sporting a can cozy!
